HEY Y'ALL, I NEED YOUR HELP
On the edge of tomorrow,
while still in today,
lots of pain and sorrow,
so many just pay and pay.World turns round and round,
working our lives away,
waiting on a whistle to sound,
so many just pay and pay.To hear the reports from Wall Street,
all sounds so shiny and good,
many still can't afford to eat,
don't add up like it should.I use my energy, and my mind,
talking to people every day,
telling all that I can find,
not to rush their lives away.Trying to spread love, trying to spread joy,
trying to show all that I care,
many don't trust this little boy,
many just stop and stare. We need to get the word around,
that we need to help one another,
and instead of looking down,
look into the eyes of your brother. We need do more and talk less,
we need to hold hands,
we can clean up all this mess,
we can when everyone understands.Woody Guthrie told us so well,
such a long time past,
and the words still ring a bell,
the years have gone so fast.Woody said this was our land,
we should love and take it to heart,
i know you all understand,
maybe just don't know where to start.Start here and start right now,
get a smile on your face and in your heart,
hug someone and show them how,
that with LOVE is how we can start. We can get back where we were then,
when times so slow and lazy,
we can recapture and love again,
and put a stop to this crazy.
