A CHILD OF THE EARTH
 

We shared so much,
but never knew one another,
through the years, and the miles,
we now have become friends.

We were children then,
oh so long ago, and yet
we are still young in our minds,
and in our hearts.

You are a child of the earth,
your mind full of wonder,
always a smile for life,
always a helping hand to offer.

You are a child of the earth,
with love in your heart,
with understanding at your core,
and eagerness as your fuel.

You are indeed a wonder,
in this world as it is,
I've known you for a long time,
but I never knew you at all.

A high school girl from the past,
who found me on the web,
Now we are friends, again, still,
and I am honored and delighted.
