A normal day as it began,
this eleventh of September,
but as we all know now,
it is one we'll always remember.

How could it really be a surprise?
What happened to us today,
we've had warnings, oh so many,
many on earth wanted us to pay.

The security at our airports,
for the most part is not too good,
they are responsible for your life,
does it scare you, it SHOULD!

What is behind the terror mentality,
why do they hate us Americans so,
is it our lifestyle, is it religion,
what do they REALLY want us to know?

I don't believe in hurting others,
that will NEVER be right,
but, they did what they believed in,
undercover, afraid to fight.

We pray to God, but so do they,
which will God listen to,
is religion what is mainly different,
does he choose one to be true?

We sing "God bless America,"
does this mean to UNbless all others,
we pray to WIN the battle,
isn't that praying for the other to lose?
We pray to get the job,
isn't that praying that another won't?
What does it mean to "BLESS,"
God won't bless us unless we ask?

Is what makes us different,
the terrorists from me and you,
what we believe, and how we worship,
or something else that we may do?

Where do we go from here,
is there something we've learned,
we've seen war and death,
and people bleeding and burned.

Will there be more,
will we find who,
what if we don't,
what can we do?
