SCREAMING IN SILENCE That deafening roar,
of silence in your head,
the feeling of defeat,
when you're not being YOU,
then just WHO is the cheat?Screaming in silence,
from very deep inside,
as you go through,
the motions of living,
but WHERE are you?Following on a path,
that another laid out,
the time will come along,
when with all your effort,
you'll know it's all wrong.Being true to who you are,
knowing time is ticking,
more unhappiness each day,
for you have allowed,
your vision to be led astray.Screaming in silence,
deep within your head,
struggling for attention,
you fight to hide it,
afraid to even mention. You can't be what you're not,
you can only go so far,
you can't fool yourself any longer,
for there will come that day,
with the screaming getting stronger.Screaming to be understood,
screaming for your freedom,
needing space to grow,
needing to find things out,
needing to really know.Trapped in a shell going nowhere,
pretending to be in control,
with screaming in your mind,
looking everywhere and nowhere,
afraid of what you will find.
