I AM REAL TIME

You hear about time flying,
you hear about time dragging,
you hear about time standing still,
for me, each second is a second.

You hear about time ever after,
you hear about time never ending,
you hear about time never lasting,
for me, each second is the same.

I am real time,
fully here in the now,
I am aware of myself,
I am aware of being alive.

You hear comments from people,
they don't know where the time goes,
others say the work week is too long,
the weekend too short,
for me, every day I live is the weekend.

Some people can't wait to get off work,
others can't wait for vacations,
you hear people excited about weekends,
to me, each day is vacation.

My good times last longer,
my bad times go faster,
this is so because,
time remains time, tick by tick.

I don't rise too high,
I don't fall too far,
I remain on level ground,
in the middle way of life.

Children can't wait for Christmas,
it takes forever to arrive,
then so suddenly it is gone,
only the pictures remain.

Children can't wait to grow up,
childhood lasts forever,
suddenly one day they see,
but it is one day too late.

Time is in your mind,
you control its speed,
the more excited you are,
the longer things will take to arrive,
and the quicker,
they will be gone.

Each day is the same,
they ALL end in "day,"
they are all the best day of all,
they are all the wonders of life.
