MAN, WITH HIS BRAINS
We've gone from a cave,
and then to a tent,
to a high rise in Manhattan,
that we can buy, lease or rent. We've gone from the berries,
that we picked from the trees,
now with such elaborate farming,
a hundred kinds of cheese. We've moved from walking,
so slowly over the land,
now we fly in planes,
so large, so fast, so grand. We sail the seas,
in ships of such style,
we go to the depths of the oceans,
in our submarines meanwhile. We have set foot,
upon the moon,
we continue to explore space,
we'll conquer it soon.Man, with his brains,
has taken amazing steps,
yet, the question still remains,
what is it all about?Man has changed,
the whole world through,
it continues to continue,
with always more to do.Man changes all,
nature remains the same,
man builds, nature destroys,
so it goes, just like a game.Man, with all his brains,
has taken amazing steps,
yet, the question still remains,
what is it all about? We all spend forever,
just waiting to "BE",
from the moment that we ARE,
we begin dying, ever so slowly. From point A to point B,
we try to be all that we are able,
we try to do, see and be all,
we spend our time, rocky or stable.A life, never sure of a turn,
A life, always things to learn,
A life, more money than time to burn,
A life, for where we'll never return.
