THE KEYHOLE

Peer through the keyhole,
you see only still and black,
shine your light through,
only emptiness looks back.

When the last of you,
has ticked away,
it's through the keyhole,
it's finally the day.

Your day of rest,
rushing no more,
all quiet, still and peace,
nothing again can harm.

The end of the stress,
of putting all others first,
and no ones mess,
waiting for you to clean.

All things left behind,
now to relax and rest,
you've sure paid your dues,
you've sure aced your test.

It's the next stop for all,
through the keyhole so black,
do all the living that you can,
for you're not coming back.

The light dims, then light no more,
there is nothing to fear,
no control over no thing,
it's neither far, nor near,
no more to worry....
no more fighting....
no more anxiety......
just the peace, everlasting.
