JOB DESCRIPTION:
A FRIENDBecoming friends,
should be more than a word,
a smile, a shake or a nod,
to me.We shouldn't say "FRIEND,"
until we trust, believe,
care, want to share,
and feel good.Once we are friends,
we should trust and believe,
care and want to share,
and always want to help.If you know of a new restaurant,
that just opened nearby,
you'd tell me,
wouldn't you?If you knew that my cats favorite food,
was on sale across town,
and you were there,
you'd get me some, wouldn't you?If you saw a cute joke,
while online,
you'd send it,
wouldn't you?If you saw my dream house on sale,
or a better school for the kids,
you'd share with me,
wouldn't you?As friends nothing would ever be,
a "bother" to either of us,
would it?If you knew of something,
that might help me,
or the family,
you'd share, wouldn't you?If I found a new business,
you'd check it, or read,
or watch and give me a honest opinion,
wouldn't you?I would never assume,
what you may or may not like,
I'd share with you just the same,
as friends should, right?Whether it be something good,
or not so good,
friendship is honest,
and caring, isn't it?Of course, with all these things,
I may, or may not be interested,
but we shared out of honest caring,
didn't we?I expect a friend to feel this about me,
and I hope they'd expect the same,
for if not, we must have misread the first step,
didn't we?
