HANG ONTO THAT HOPE
 

We've all been hurt,
we've all had many a cry,
we've all had something taken,
without ever knowing why.

We've all had promises broken,
we've all seen our dreams shattered,
we've all lost a piece inside,
of something that really mattered.

We've all seen lives and loves vanish,
we've all had to adjust to what is real,
we've all had to get through the day,
regardless of how empty and lost we may feel.

And yet, all that ever happens,
does so for a reason,
it may not reveal itself,
for many, many a season.

Go forth with the hope,
that good is yet to be,
go forth with love within you,
let your eyes be clear to see.

Gather strength from what has been,
know that it is part of what must be,
feel the love within your heart,
have the hope and you will see.

Life is a test of what you are,
no step will ever be easy,
learn as you go and grow,
learn as you set your mind free.

We are here to help and to love,
we are here to hug and to teach,
it is for each to discover his purpose,
it is for each to stretch and to reach.

Life was meant to be a journey,
with challenges along our way,
hang onto the hope that you have,
be the best that you can today.
