IN A PERFECT WORLD
 

In a perfect world,
I'd be writing this now,
for nature will always tell,
just when, just how.

In a perfect world,
I'd be sharing this with you,
all happiness and inspiration,
for the whole time through.

Nature gives all this to us,
to utilize as we may,
and only a negative thought,
can ever take it away.

In a perfect world,
all would be smile and happy,
all would be love and trust,
as natural, as natural, as can be.

In a perfect world,
people would be free,
to think as they choose,
and connect with what they see.

In a perfect world,
we'd be here today,
you reading these words,
of what I had to say.

Can we accept time,
can we accept space,
can we trust good thoughts,
or, a sincere, smiling face ?

In a perfect world,
people would believe,
and wouldn't need to work at,
just trying to deceive.

In a perfect world,
all would be honest and true,
for, as all in nature,
mountains, trees, skies of blue.

In a perfect world,
I'd be telling you now,
that we each are quite able,
to find, and to be happy, this is how:

Find the strength,
from deep within you,
learn to accept responsibility,
for all you say and do,
step forward,
offer a hand,
believe in yourself,
take a stand,
know, a perfect world,
is one person at a time,
connect with the YOU,
your best friend all along,
celebrate happiness within,
celebrate life with all,
know that to live,
is reason to give,
and that to share,
shows that you care,
show how you feel,
show love that is real,
for the world is just right,
as we are sitting here tonight.
