I GOT IT TODAY
 

I got it today,
the clouds cleared away,
it finally became clear.

You've been telling me for years,
it's caused much pain and tears,
I thank you for staying here.

I got it today,
no more webs in the way,
I can finally move ahead,
no more clutter on the road,
I can now carry my load,
I now understand all you've said.

Time works things out,
no matter what you shout,
it won't hurry things along,
we find out in our time,
and the experience was mine,
I now know I was wrong.

I got it today,
I now see it your way,
you were right from day one,
and now that we agree,
today I can really see,
all the wrong I have done.

I got it today,
I will no longer play,
with things that are dear to my heart,
I will live life with you,
all the foolishness is through,
today becomes the new start.

My actions will show,
that I finally know,
that your way was right,
it makes me feel good,
it is all understood,
all is now clear and bright.
