MOST PEOPLE

Most people go,
where most people have followed,
and most people,
know little else.

Most people think,
what most people think,
most people believe,
what most people believe.

I am not most people,
I think as I am,
I go where I choose,
many times all alone.

I came here with nothing,
by myself,
I'll leave here with nothing,
by myself.

Most people need,
a hope to hang onto,
most people believe,
in a God above.

If we are here to serve,
and then go to heaven to do nothing,
it is more senseless than all,
for I could never follow that.

I am here for me,
to enjoy and be free,
what will come to be,
certainly, will come to be.

I need no promise,
of a tomorrow,
to give me reason,
to love life today.
