NEVER AGAIN

The door has closed,
our love is a memory,
we had our moments,
it has become part of history.

The sun still shines,
the wind still blows,
etched into forever,
and so our story goes.

Never again,
no more trying,
no more confusion,
no more crying.

We gave our best,
but, we drifted apart,
we could never be,
what we were at the start.

No one wants to hurt,
no one wants to cry,
or to spend forever,
trying to discover why.

Love comes, love goes away,
just like rain and snow,
for we know that each new day,
brings the possibility of a rainbow.

To seek out happiness,
means potential pain,
to feel the hurt doesn't mean,
we'll never try again.

The flowers will bloom,
with the rain that falls each spring,
and each new sunny day,
brings the bees, that may sting.

Never again,
will today ever be,
and yet, with every tomorrow,
there will always be new to see.

Behind each closed door,
there is a story so true,
some, will be about me,
some, will be about you.

Nothing is impossible,
never again just may be,
for, with each passing time,
each cloud, tree and bee.

The wonder of life,
the beauty of it all,
is that nothing is ever over,
not humpty dumpty or the wall.

Live today with smiles,
live it with all of your might,
for even with eyes closed,
there will always be sight.
