IT'S ALL WE REALLY NEED
 

A hand to squeeze,
in the dark of the night,
when life is crumbling,
someone to hold you tight,
when things go wrong,
a someone to make them right,
it's all we really need.

Someone you can trust,
with the secrets of your heart,
someone who misses you,
whenever your apart,
someone who cared about you,
from the very start,
it's all we really need.

When the world is cold,
someone with whom to share,
when life is so cruel,
when it seems that no one cares,
someone who will listen,
when your heart just tears,
it's all we really need.

Someone who won't lie,
who will always be true,
someone you can count on,
for all the days through,
someone to make you smile,
when you're feeling blue,
it's all we really need.

Someone to laugh with,
who will always say,
things you need to hear,
when things have gone astray,
someone with whom,
you'd like to spend the day,
it's all we really need.

When things get confused,
somewhere you can turn,
when all is pain and doubt,
a difficult lesson to learn,
for all that comes along,
one will always have concern,
it's all we really need.

Someone to make your life,
take on laughter and a smile,
someone who makes you feel,
that you matter and are worthwhile,
someone who doesn't make you feel,
as if you're always on trial,
it's all we really need.

Someone who makes,
all of life fun,
someone who faces things,
and who doesn't always run,
someone who tells you,
you're the important one,
it's all we really need.
