THE ULTIMATE JOY

Though we seek thrills,
excitement makes the heart beat fast,
but we know the ultimate joy,
will be our first and our last.

How fast can we go,
how high can we get,
how close to the edge,
or even closer on a bet.

We feel excitement build,
it stops one step away,
from the ultimate joy,
which no one wants to pay.

Thrill seekers everywhere,
new challenges found each day,
closer to that ultimate joy,
just how close we can never say.

We see danger every day,
but we may not realize,
that some view danger as play,
it is excitement in their eyes.

When we venture one step too far,
and cross the line of no return,
the ultimate joy has been reached,
one final star do we earn.

So live life with all your might,
give it all of your strength,
find your enjoyment every day,
turn and swim another length.
