WE DON'T KNOW
We don't know for certain,
that what we think is right,
we don't even know,
if we'll survive the night,
and yet we go on,
as if we really knew for sure.We don't know for certain,
of what tomorrow will bring,
we don't even know that what we feel,
really means anything,
and yet we go on,
as if we knew for sure. For the only thing that is certain,
is that we don't know at all,
for each day a known becomes clouded,
with more extensive research, or time,
and the game continues,
to be the same unknown. We don't know for certain,
all of what we're told,
for it is mainly opinions,
so the judging will continue,
and truths will still be sought,
and all we've ever done,
will need to be rethought,
every tree we planted,
every war we've fought. We don't know for certain,
much beyond the first day,
as no one can really agree,
when that day really was..So we awake each day,
we all go to do our "thing",
it puts food on the table,
allows us time to think,
some will watch the tube,
others sit and drink,
others want to go fight,
for all they think is right. They have all lost sight,
perhaps the sun they see,
isn't really that bright,
or perhaps it's their own finger,
they're about to bite,
or maybe strings got tangled,
and it's some one elses kite,
maybe in the fog,
they missed their left, or their right,
yet, it is follow the leader,
through the quicksand in plight.
