REDISCOVERY
 

Can you retrieve time,
that has been wasted away,
can you bring back the past,
and use it again today?

Can you recreate energy,
that had been allowed to fade,
can you ever get back to,
that someplace you should have stayed?

Can you go through the channels of your mind,
to rediscover what you left behind,
to re-explore all that you find,
recall it all as you let it unwind?

Can you find the dreams,
deep in your head,
and deal with all,
you've accepted instead?

Can you uncover,
the hope that once was you,
now buried beneath fear and failure,
a picture of what you've been through.

Rediscovery, this you can do,
if your mind decides it to be,
you can rekindle the flame deep within,
for now is the time to set it free.

within your mind is a child so young,
all the promise of a life to live,
how it gets tangled and wasted away,
fuelled by the effort you give.

If that effort isn't based,
on a foundation of a solid you,
if the beginning was not done right,
you'll find failure a lifetime through.

For the foundation must be,
based on how you feel about you,
built on love and respect of the self,
it's the foundation nothing breaks through.

It is what you've built on each day,
it's where hope and dreams will play,
it's where inside you will say,
"I am captain of my own way."

It's where you trust yourself,
it's the comfort you have inside,
it's where you know who you are,
that love is the root of your pride.

Upon this pride you will know,
you have no need to follow behind,
it's where you decide what you like,
it is for you to do what you find.

This life can start anew,
you can rediscover the root of you,
you'll find there are very few,
who will understand or that can do.

The power that is in your mind,
rediscover the power that is there,
it's been just waiting for now,
