REMEMBERING
Remembering,
clothes hanging on the line,
drying in the sun,
when running between them,
was, oh, so much fun.Remembering,
rain pouring down,
hiding the light of the day,
the lightning and the thunder,
hide 'n seek we'd play.Remembering,
coming home after school,
the smell of baking in the air,
to have to wait until after dinner,
just never seemed too fair.Remembering,
such small, simple things,
of a lifetime past,
those childhood memories,
will forever last.Al those memories,
from all of our yesterdays,
make us what we are now,
it carried and paved our ways.Remembering,
when the world seemed so big,
when places seemed so far,
when time went so slow,
kids fighting in the car.Remembering,
when things seemed to matter,
when people seemed to care,
when we were open and honest,
we didn't need be so aware.Remembering,
what we thought of this world so vast,
and we respected those who led,
we tried learning from our teachers,
and followed what they said.Remembering,
where we came from,
and to witness today,
it is change from day to night,
but then, it's hard to say.Knowing,
every time has their time,
every generation changes,
nothing ever remains as is,
that is what nature arranged.
