ABOUT FRIENDS
 

Is a friend to cheer you,
when you are feeling low,
to take your mind off troubles,
does this make friendship grow?

Is a friend there to say all is fine,
and always have a great big smile,
all the while knowing,
things haven't been fine for awhile?

Do you have a true friend,
one who cares most about you,
even knowing that the truth,
may mean the friendship is through?

Do you have a true friend,
who is happy inside,
therefore they can be honest,
for they have no pain to hide?

Do you have a true friend,
that you'd remember a lifetime,
if tomorrow meant separate ways,
the memories would do you fine?

Do you have a true friend,
who won't allow you to hide,
but instead will tell you things,
that may be hurting you inside?

Do you have a true friend,
who wants you to be happy,
but will never sit and cry with you,
or show you nothing but pity?

A real friend,
can be a friend to all,
to anyone who is honest,
he awaits their call.

A real friend,
they are far and few between,
most will only laugh for awhile,
and dizzily follow their dream.

Are you a true friend,
one who puts honesty at the top,
who wants to help someone,
even though friendship may stop?
