WE ARE HERE TODAY
 

We are here today,
a result of all we've seen,
we are every tear we've cried,
and every broken dream.

As we see ourself right now,
we seem the same as we were,
but each new person and thought,
changes us for sure.

We are now, each thought we've known,
every dance we danced,
every hope we've had,
and at everything we've glanced.

All about us, has become us,
a story that grows and grows.
as all you've thought and sensed,
each bit, your mind knows.

We are laughs and fun,
we are kisses after dark,
we are happy moonlight strolls,
through the quiet small park.

We are all the love,
all the heartache too,
we are playing as children,
under the skies so blue.

We often forget, who we are,
as we feel lonely today,
we forget all the fun we've known,
we've filed all that away.

Perhaps, when a tough day comes along,
bring out that file for awhile,
linger in the happiness you've known,
sit and remember with a smile.

Feed that feeling into your mind,
as positive as can be,
if you do that long enough,
then happiness your mind shall see.

Everyone has known pain and hurt,
we've all been cheated and deceived,
we've all had things turn upside down,
and made mistakes when we've believed.

We are all but human beings.
learning the role each day,
it is how we think about things,
it is what we think and what we say.

We each can decide how we will feel,
we have control of our own mind,
there is no thing out there that you may want,
that your mind is unable to find.
