SIT AND THINK
Sit and think,
of those you know,
and the problems they face,
the pain in their lives,
the hope that they've lost.Sit and think,
what they mean to you,
and how you'd help,
no matter the cost,
if you only knew how.Sit and think,
of days going by,
and all that you've seen,
and think again of how you'd help,
if you only knew how.Sit and think,
of the mail that goes by,
all the trouble and pain,
children lost and prayers needed,
and those who have lost their dreams. You'd help if you could,
you really would,
if only, you knew how,
you do send prayers,
and wish them well,
but they need help right now.Sit and think,
how happy you'd feel,
if you really could help,
if you could give them hope,
and give them back their dreams!Sit and think,
of what you believe,
and what you most fear,
and how bad you'd feel,
if you suddenly lost,
what you hold most dear.Sit and think,
of those needing help,
and of what you can do,
reach out with thought,
and share new ideas,
and give them every small chance.Sit and think,
if they were you,
and you were they,
how you'd hope they cared,
and every thing they even heard,
they thought of you and they shared.
