CONTROLLED BY TIME
As you sit at work all day,
glancing at the clock,
wishing the time would hurry by,
you're wishing it was time to go home.As soon as quitting time comes along,
you're hoping the clock would go slow,
so it would be a long time before,
you'd need to come back to work.We spend our time,
watching that clock,
wishing it to go fast or slow,
always wishing to be somewhere else.Controlled by time,
keeping it confused,
whether to go fast or slow,
clocks just don't know.If we could learn to live here and now,
and to leave the past and future,
to be happy with ourself and life,
time can be SO enjoyable. But, if we are controlled by time,
always wishing it were different,
it leads to many anxious moments,
and controls your life the same way.
