Happiness will never find you,
if you sit there with a sad face,
you must change your tune,
you must change the pace.

Happiness doesn't just happen along,
it is attracted to one who smiles,
who has a passion for living,
who doesn't get down with the trials.

You must GREET the day with love,
you must MEET the day with wonder,
you can't WAIT for a good day,
you must change the spell you're under.

You decide if you want happiness,
you decide when it will start,
don't settle for anything less,
you owe it your hungry heart.

Don't be a slave to sadness,
don't be a slave to depression,
don't be a slave to the fear within,
it is time to end the suppression.

Find the YOU beneath the pain,
find the passion for living within you,
find some positive in all you see,
KNOW that you can make it through.
