PLASTIC WORLD

Times have changed,
in such a short little while,
as you search all the faces,
and can't see even one smile.

No one has any time,
as they rush everywhere,
just to wait in another line,
and in anger they stare.

Many would rather shoot than talk,
most have forgotten how to walk,
they live in a world of fake and deceive,
in a world of deny and make believe.

Where nothing is real,
a plastic world come true,
nothing has value,
they push their way through.

Children are raised and have no respect,
people are to be used and pushed aside,
rules are to broken,
plastic people with no pride.

You see it on the roads,
you see it on the street,
people afraid to talk with,
any new person they meet.

No ideals and no real care,
smile at your face and spit at your back,
people feel the world owes them life,
living at a fast pace, all out of whack.

Promise you anything, even the moon,
no intention of anything they say,
just let words flow from their mouths,
knowing there is nothing ever to pay.

We have seen it coming for a long time,
never knowing how to stop its spread,
now it's upon us and what can we do,
I think many join forces instead.

A plastic world, with plastic people,
all clawing their way to the top,
no concern for anyone,
and they dare anyone to stop.

Real people with real love,
you see less every day,
so many have been tried,
and have been frightened away.

Those of us who still believe,
that we can help the cause,
just have to keep on keeping on,
using justice and the laws.
