BE MY FRIEND

Be my friend,
walk with me,
through the springtime rain,
share with me,
who you are,
make me smile and laugh again.

Be my friend,
trust in me,
as I will trust in you,
have faith,
that I care,
I will value your friendship true.

Be my friend,
talk to me,
about what is on your mind,
for we both have learned,
the very painful truth,
that real friends are hard to find.

Be my friend,
come to me,
when you need someone to care,
don't ever be afraid,
I want you to know,
that I will always be there.

Walk with me,
in the hills,
and near the lake so clear,
sing and giggle with me,
and lets be kids again,
though foolish we may appear.

Be my love,
believe in me,
as you did as a friend,
talk to me,
with your eyes,
together so well we blend.

Be my love,
give me your hand,
let's walk in the rain once more,
remember the days,
when we were best friends,
lets do the same as before.

Be my love,
lets explore and dance,
and do things as one,
and when we know,
that it is the end,
all that was important,
is that you were my friend.
