OPTIONS
 

As you sit and do nothing,
while problems are at hand,
your levels of doubt and mistrust,
that only you understand.

You feel that nothing is moving,
it all remains in place,
but you may not be aware,
that the situation changes face.

For, each moment that you wait,
your options become more few,
the things that may avail now to help,
maybe by then, not work for you.

You allow chances to slip through,
your mistrusting mind,
and things just may greatly worsen,
that you may find.

Options in life, is what we all have,
they are very sensitive to time,
the longer you wait to take a step,
makes the hill higher to climb.

The situation is not sitting still,
as you may really think,
the things available to do today,
by tomorrow are sure to shrink.

The less choice you have in a matter,
only leads to desperate moves,
for when push comes to shove in the end,
there is not much left to choose.

Yet, so many wait, until choice is gone,
and they are swept away,
because of their fear and doubts,
tomorrow becomes worse than today.

They feel they are victims of life,
they are targets for all to aim,
that life is out to get them,
and all will remain the same.

It is such a shame,
what fear has done for many,
makes them bitter inside,
as they feel choice, they don't have any.

Life is yours, do as you choose,
no one can make you believe,
BUT, when you are crying for help,
THEN, you may be deceived.

For, the more desperate you become,
in your moments of need,
THOSE are when you are vulnerable,
to those of REAL greed.

I can only offer advice,
it is your choice to make,
just be aware of the price you pay,
for each step, you do, or don't take.
