YOU FADE IN AND OUT

Flash--a climax,
the combined aura is captured,
this combined psyche becomes you,
your being has begun.

You fade in and out,
of existence,
and in a flash,
your stage has been set.

Throughout your time,
this fading will be norm,
all from the very moment,
that you were born.

You fade in and out,
of the love you will find,
you fade in and out,
of fears of all kind.

You fade in and out,
of success you will make,
you fade in and out,
of the chances you'll take.

You fade in and out,
of sleep each night,
you fade in and out,
of lovers held tight.

Your fade in and out,
of promises you've made,
you fade in and out,
of the prices you've paid.

You fade in and out,
of dreams you will dream,
you fade in and out,
of what life may ever seem.

You fade in and out,
of relationships you've known,
you fade in and out,
of fantasy you've grown.

You fade in and out,
of consciousness each day,
you fade in and out,
of the games you will play.

This is what, to live really is,
as we come, as we go,
as we encounter all,
that we hardly even know.

The rising and falling,
the being, and then not,
the being so cool,
and becoming so hot.

Stories dreamt and stories told,
hopes found and hopes lost,
days spent, many wasted,
never aware of the cost.

You fade in and out,
of the story you write,
your dreams unfold,
anew each night.

Flash--you exit,
you've faded the last,
for, at a time you were,
