HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN ?

You were the winner,
you won the race,
the race of your life,
you set the pace,
have you forgotten?

You beat the millions,
racing against you,
after that race,
their futures were through,
have you forgotten?

You've been a winner,
since your life began,
all because you won the first race,
that you ever ran,
have you forgotten.

You should have been celebrating,
that win each and every day,
for you won the race of all time,
for winning, you found a way,
have you forgotten?

The race actually occurred,
without thinking on your part,
for it was a few seconds prior,
to your life having a start,
have you forgotten?

There were millions racing,
for that egg that day,
you were the winner,
you made determination pay,
have you forgotten?

Of course you've forgotten,
it was the making of YOU,
it was your conception,
that you were racing to,
NOW, do you remember?

That split second,
that you won the prize,
the prize was your life,
do you now realize?

When you sit and hurt,
and you struggle in pain,
think what you've won,
and decide to celebrate again.

Be proud of yourself,
remember the odds you beat,
you won the big race,
your life is your treat.
