ABOUT YOU
 

As you are there today,
reading these words,
I want to ask you true:

Have you followed through,
and done the things,
you said you would do?

Are you using,
your energy and time,
to somehow end the abusing?

Have you become,
what you wanted,
or have you settled for less?

Does your desire live,
and your hopes,
are you striving for more?

Do you believe in people,
and know that time,
is ours to create what we want?

Do you work a job,
and just get by,
while building someone elses' dream?

Would you like,
to be in charge,
of what becomes of you?

We learn each day,
that love, trust and friendship,
are what it is all about.

I don't want your jokes,
I don't want your prayers,
I don't want your sites,
I want YOU as a friend,
to talk and to share,
and to grow and become,
for there is strength in numbers.

If we can't talk,
and share our dreams,
and join together in life,
to help others grow,
to help others survive,
to help others prosper,
to show others we care,
we are but wasting time.

Those of you who know me,
know that I really care,
those of you who know me better,
know that I value YOU as much as ME,
those of you who know me best,
know that I WILL be HERE and WILL do as I write,
but NONE knows me so well,
as to know the strength, desire and belief,
that I have in YOU!

If you aren't where you want to be,
and would like to be what you want,

For those who seek a reason,
for those who WANT to make a difference,

To those who would like to become,
controllers of their time,
controllers of their future,
controllers of themselves,
controllers of their worth,
