It's splendid to know,
there's a you, there's a me,
it's splendid we've come,
together as a team.

It's splendid to feel,
your arms around me tight,
it's splendid to lie,
beside you at night.

It's splendid after a long day away,
to hold you close and gaze into your eyes,
your warmth awakens all of who I am,
it's splendid being with you under starry skies.

It's splendid having found,
a love as sweet as yours,
it's splendid that you chose me,
to give your love and energy to.

It's splendid in the world,
in which we live,
to have someone like you,
to receive the love that I give.

It's splendid how I love you,
and how we've traveled so far,
it's splendid to be aware,
how much in love we really are.

It's splendid when I feel,
you so close to me,
it's splendid for I know,
all is as it should be.
