I KNOW
 

I know you are feeling sad,
I know you are feeling blue,
I know you don't want to smile,
I only want to be near to you.

I know you have so little hope,
I know you don't believe a thing,
I know you want to run away,
listen, did you hear that bird sing?

I want you to know I care,
you need not say a word,
if you say nothing at all,
it is still the best i've ever heard.

Your head is full of doubt,
about ever seeing the sun,
the only thing that seems right,
is to pick up and run and run.

Reach out and touch my hand,
no need for words, or talk,
just know that I am right here,
maybe slow your run to a walk.

I know you're not hearing my words,
I know you're not feeling my hand,
you're lost in a world of your own,
but, your heart will surely understand.

In time the things will sort out,
In time you will begin to heal,
In time you will know happiness,
In time, very alive you will feel.

Till then I want you to know,
till then I want you to feel,
till then you won't be alone,
for my caring is very real.

You must believe in you,
you must believe in today,
you must believe in life,
there is no other way.

You will grow day by day,
more calm and more sure,
you will know right away,
that happiness is in your future.

We must experience today,
with all that comes our way,
we must learn to know,
that this is how we will grow.
