RUNNING AND HIDING

I've reached out so many times,
and have tried to be your friend,
and yet when it comes to real life,
you are running and hiding in the end.

A real friend goes beyond ,
the words on this screen,
a real friend is on and off line,
and nothing comes between.

For the major words of trust and belief,
are where the problem lies,
as you have have your fill,
of promises and alibis.

I offer my love, my heart,
I offer my energy and my time,
I offer things beyond a screen,
to any real friend of mine.

And yet, when the screen goes blank,
and real life is here once more,
you go to your running and hiding,
afraid of life, and what it has in store.

I try to comfort you and try to show,
that I am sincere and really care,
I am open and always honest with you,
and value all that we share.

But I feel, when you click on "power off",
that all we've built goes on "hold",
and you revert to running and hiding,
and you await more fear to unfold.

I've tried so hard to reach out and touch,
to be a help to all that I could,
as I want you to find happiness,
for you to smile, as you should.

I can't make you believe,
and I can't make you trust,
so when you run and hide,
as you feel that you must.

I will remain here, as I said on day one,
perhaps someday you will feel it's right,
perhaps someday you may realize,
perhaps someday you'll turn on the light.

I know you are lost, in a world of pain,
I know you feel you are safe and secure,
I know as long as you don't trust anyone,
you will never hurt for sure.

I also know, as I know you do too,
that you must someday live again,
you must come into the open,
and face what has ever been.

I want to help you, as I do really care,
I want to show you that you CAN believe,
I want to show you that you matter,
and happiness is YOURS to receive.

You are much more than a name on a list,
and I know you WANT to trust,
I feel your pain and share your world,
you have to step forward, you just MUST.

The only thing that holds you back.
is the fear you feel inside,
but I am here for you all the way,
so, please, don't run and hide!!
