BEING YOUR FRIEND
 

You always make me smile,
and send warmth and sunshine,
it makes me so very happy,
knowing you are a friend of mine.

Being your friend is so natural,
being your friend is such fun,
being your friend is an honor,
I know I'm the lucky one.

We have shared so much,
so many laughs, so many tears,
we have helped one another,
conquer so many of our fears.

Being your friend is a given,
being your friend feels so right,
being your friend is what I am,
you make my life so bright.

We don't write every day,
yet we both know we care,
we both go through our days,
but, within, each day, we share.

We are real friends, have never met,
we are real friends, we'll never forget,
we are real friends, in mine and time,
we are real friends, happy as sunshine.
