I CAN'T

I can't show you,
what you choose not to see,
I can't convince you,
when you won't believe me.

I can't make you have faith,
in anything that I may do,
if you've decided I'll fail,
that choice is up to you.

I can't make you trust me,
when you've decided not,
and all you is doubt,
every hope that I've got.

I can't talk with you,
when you decide not to hear,
you have hidden so far away,
your life filled with fear.

I can't reach you,
your clouds are much too thick,
you've come to fear all there is,
you have scared yourself sick.

I can't show you sunshine,
when all you know is gray,
when you live in darkness,
you miss the light of day.

I remain here for you,
my arms open wide,
though you may never know,
what I feel inside.

I can't take you,
where you don't want to go,
I can't tell you,
what you don't want to know.

I'll go on living,
enjoying life each day,
It's all I know how to do,
as al things find a way.

I can't share with you,
what makes my life fun,
I can't reason with you,
when you think life is done.

You challenge all that I believe,
you doubt all that I do,
you actually make me stronger,
and make my faith more true.

I have the strength within,
to withstand all you may say,
I know that I'll be just fine,
and I treasure each day.

I can't make you feel love,
when you think life is sad,
I can't make you think good,
when all you believe is bad.

Perhaps I'll never find a way,
to enter your space,
perhaps you don't even see,
the smile upon my face.
