WAS THERE REALLY A TIME?

Was there a time, before I knew you,
it seems a blur to me,
I search, I hunt, try to remember,
but, you are all that I see.

Was there a time, before I loved you,
when the wind didn't know how I cared,
I hear it humming in my ear,
echoes, of each moment we've shared.

Was there a time, before me, without a YOU,
for I can't imagine birds singing,
or bells ringing,
without a YOU in this world too!

Was there a time I didn't want you,
seems impossible that it could be,
for the passion fills me day and night,
with the need to feel you, close to me.

Was there a time, before time,
when we were together as one,
was it then that I lost you,
when we had only just begun?

Was there really a time,
when our dreams weren't one,
when our hands weren't holding,
or our lips and our bodies touching ?
Was there really a time?
