FOR THE LIVING
 

Are you older,
are you bolder,
than you were last time,
have you filed it away,
in your life folder,
and on to the next day?

Are you richer,
are you wiser,
than you were the last time,
have you moved on today,
and left the past,
is happiness here to stay?

Do you smile now,
have you learned how,
to take control of all,
do you feel as good,
as you thought you would,
do you walk proud and tall ?

So now you're ready,
to really go steady,
with happiness and a smile,
you have decided,
you are in charge,
you've made life worthwhile.

You've found you,
open, honest and true,
you've gone from the blue,
you can see it through.

Is anything different,
is anything the same,
through your eyes today,
you see birds fly,
you see clouds float,
much in the same old way.

It is how you feel.
that is the change,
you've opened your mind,
now all is ready,
now all is waiting,
for you to enjoy your find.

Nothing is bad,
nothing is good,
in what is around,
all is just fine,
for you know in your mind,
that all is wonderful and sound.

Life is a day,
life is a week,
life is many a year,
no time for sad,
no time for worry,
no anxiety, and no fear.

Like a raft afloat,
upon the sea of living,
miles of water all around,
you're the center of it all,
you are the wind and waves,
you will find your solid ground.
