WHEN WILL I SEE YOU AGAIN ?
When will I see you again,
my sweet little brown-eyed girl,
my love, my life, my silly best friend,
when will I see you again ?When will I see you once more,
when we can hold hands,
and walk the lane,
as we planned to before,
when will time be ours once more ?When will our day come along,
when we can slow down and dance,
when we again play romance,
finally take that trip to France,
when will that day come ?When will I see you again,
when we can laugh as we used to do,
when I can put my arms around you,
when we can laugh at all we've been through,
and we can enjoy each day anew,
when will I see you again ?It seems a million years gone by,
that we've been fighting this survival war,
that we've neglected what living is for,
that we've always needed just a little more,
when will those times end ?When will I see you again,
my sweetness, my all, my best, best friend,
the one to whom I owe my life,
the wonder girl who became my wife,
the one who gave me her all,
when will I see you again ?When will it begin to be,
when all that I know, and all that I see,
when you can at last believe in me,
when our time can once again be fun,
when we can find that lonely tree,
when will it begin to be ?A life is such a long time,
to wait for one day so you can smile,
to finally be able to travel a mile,
to have such a short little while,
of relaxation and fun,
to enjoy some sand and sun,
a lifetime for only one,
is such a long time. When will I see you again,
the sweet little one I knew before,
the girl with the beautiful eyes,
the sweet woman who always tries,
to make life better for me,
when can I show you once more ?In a life where time runs away,
in a life where pressure just stays,
in a life that melts, day by day,
in a life, I must find a way,
to make truth of the words I say,
to give you more than just play,
to advance beyond being just OK,
for even though nothing can stay,
it all turns to dust on that day,
when the final bit melts away,
but, for a moment, we'll have found a way,
for something to be, for love to stay.
