Has "that" day come as yet?
if so, it must be already gone,
surely, it can't be today, for if it were;
we would all be smiling,
wouldn't we?
All would be green and sunny,
wouldn't it?
peace would be all around,
or would it?
Or would the opposite happen?
do we really fear "that" day?
for the truth, the answers,
to all we have asked, and searched for all of
our lives,
may suddenly appear before us.
Each of our thoughts differ about "that" day,
some show fear, others feel joy,
maybe that's where the answer lies,
in who acts, and feels, how and why.
If "that" day were tomorrow,
what would people do today?
clean their slates, change their lives?
hide all their guilt and sin, as if no one ever
knew?
What if every day is "that" day?
what would make the world any different?
would you love your brothers, eyed by a constant
judge?
what excuses could be offered, but,
what if "that" day was never to be,
never was, or ever would be?
which makes you feel more comfortable,
which is the best to believe?
